Software Engineer

SAI is looking for a full-time, in-house software engineer to develop and maintain our customers' applications in various industrial control systems. Duties will include managing system performance, providing technical support, reviewing and updating existing programs, identifying and fixing defects, supporting data architecture, generating reports, developing inhouse software, and mitigating potential risks.


The ideal candidate for this role must possess coding skills, excellent communication, high concentration levels, good task management, as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills. The outstanding programmer must enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of systems, resolve errors, and design programs to meet the needs of SAI and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Designing and testing system structures.
  • Troubleshooting system errors.
  • Writing computer instructions.
  • Managing database systems.
  • Editing existing source code.
  • Profiling and analyzing algorithms.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • C/C++,  and Assembly languages preferred.

Junior Controls Engineer

SAI is looking for a full-time, inhouse junior-level controls engineer to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of our customers' industrial control systems. Duties will include analyzing system requirements, development of control strategies, assisting in control system design, PLC and SCADA system programming, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining existing customer control systems.


The ideal candidate for this role must possess superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, high concentration levels, good task management, as well as problem solving and critical thinking skills. The outstanding controls engineer must enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of systems, resolve errors, and design programs to meet the needs of SAI and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • PLC and SCADA coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Assist in the development of control strategies.
  • Perform complex testing and troubleshooting of:
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
  • Drives
  • Networks
  • Level 0 Field Devices
  • Create/Update system drawings and documentation.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Travel up to 25% to customer sites.
  • Perform on-call remote support and/or local site visits.

Requirements

  • AS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • End-user oriented.
  • PLC, HMI, SCADA programming skills.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.

Technical Sales Executive

SAI is seeking a high-caliber Technical Sales Executive to expand our team at the Winston-Salem Corporate Headquarters. For over 30 years, we have been a leading B2B IT solutions provider, specializing in Industrial Process Control Automation, Systems Integration, and Legacy IT Systems Modernization. As our new Technical Sales Executive, you will develop and maintain both new client relationships as well as relationships with our large, existing customer base.


The ideal candidate for this role must possess a proven sales track record in a highly technical field, superior written and verbal communication skills, high skill level with CRM systems, proficiency with lead-generation tools, and aptitude with office software such as M365. The outstanding technical sales executive candidate will possess strong verbal, written, and social media marketing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand large, existing B2B client base.
  • Manage client data and sales activity via CRM tools.
  • Minimize customer acquisition costs via the use of automated software lead-generation tools.
  • Conduct enterprise tech. client needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with highly technical engineering teams to develop and quote superior solutions for our clients.
  • Manage and report personal sales forecasting data.
  • Travel to prospect and customer sites.

Requirements

  • 3+ years technical sales experience required.
  • BS preferred, or relevant outside sales experience.
  • Must be customer-oriented.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven prospecting and closing track record.
  • Proficient use of CRM and lead generation software.
  • In-person, verbal, written, and social media marketing skills are preferred.
