Improve Performance

Virtualization allows you to take full advantage of modern high-performance x86-64 hardware. In many cases, your virtualized VAX or Alpha systems will run faster than the original hardware they replace. With full support for Gigabit Ethernet, they will be able to communicate over your network at blazing speeds!

Preserve Your Software Investment

vtVAX and vtAlpha emulation software preserves your investment in your software, data, and employees. The virtualization layer ensures the new hardware behaves exactly like your original system. No code changes, or user retraining required! Moreover, you'll dramatically reduce cooling and power consumption, saving money.

Business Continuity

Since vtVAX and vtAlpha software runs on the latest, standardized,  warrantied hardware, system downtime may be reduced from days to hours. We can also help you implement modern Disaster Recovery Strategies, potentially reducing system downtime to minutes! Our Support Team are also the best in the business.

Why Virtualize?

OpenVMS or Tru64 on x86-64 | VM | Cloud

vtAlpha emulation software is a cost-effective production-quality replacement for almost any single- or multi-CPU AlphaServer or AlphaStation. The software runs on modern x86-64 architecture, drastically reducing maintenance and operating costs, as well as yielding 'green' benefits for both the data center and the bottom-line. The OpenVMS or Tru64 operating systems, user interfaces, and applications run unmodified on vtAlpha so there is no porting, recompiling, relinking source code, or user retraining required. vtAlpha runs on its own secure Bare Metal operating system, which virtually eliminates downtime associated with other operating systems such as frequent software updates and reboots. An intuitive, browser-based management interface is included, allowing authorized admins to manage all of your bare metal virtual Alphas and VAXes from any PC in your network.

High System Availability Solutions

The vtLicense Server is a 1U, rack-mountable appliance designed to provide high license availability to your virtual VAX and Alpha systems.  This low cost solution ensures that your virtual VAX and Alpha systems will continue to run uninterrupted in the event of hardware or network failures.  The vtLicense Server provides a central storage location for all of your bare metal vtVAX  and  vtAlpha production, development, and disaster recovery licenses, giving you complete control.  Install multiple redundant vtLicense Servers to your network to maximize availability. This distributed setup of the virtual Alpha and VAX environment avoids having a single point of failure.  Compatible with x86-64 hardware, VMs, and Cloud installations.
